Alumni Events

The Department of Earth Sciences runs several alumni events throughout the year, offering the opportunity to get back in touch with old friends, network with other Earth Sciences professionals and learn more about current Departmental research.

There are also opportunities to meet alumni from across the University at the various events run by the central Alumni Office, on professional and interest-based subjects such as the environment, media, conservation, career progression, or Varsity sport. You can find out more about these opportunities on the University's Alumni Events page.

We're in the process of finalising details for the 2018 alumni events, but watch out for updates on the following:

London Networking Drinks - Thursday 22nd February 2018

Meet our new Head of Department, Professor Chris Ballentine, and catch up with friends and faculty, from 6:30pm at the Old Bank of England, Fleet Street (Venue TBC).

Alumni Dinner - May 2018

Our annual alumni dinner is an opportunity for a reunion for those who matriculated in 2008, 1998, 1988, 1978, 1968, 1958 or perhaps even 1948! We also welcome the 25th anniversary groups of 1983, and indeed any year group who by dint of organisation and geographical alignment, can get a good number of their year group together.

Lobanov-Rostovsky Lecture in Planetary Geology - date and speaker TBC

The 5th annual public lecture in Planetary Geology. Past lectures are available online. See our Lobanov-Rostovsky Lecture page for further information.
