New auditorium and academic wing

The new Leonard Wolfson Auditorium at Wolfson College opened on 6 June 2013, the 114th anniversary of the birth of our Founder, Isaiah Berlin. The development transforms the face of the College and provides a 155-seat lecture hall and performance space, academic offices, and a new foyer and reception area.

The Academic Wing was made possible by the generosity of the Wolfson Foundation, whose support creates a lasting legacy for Oxford’s largest graduate college and for the local community, as the College approaches its 50th Anniversary in 2016.


The next phase

The state-of-the-art, £4.5m building represents a significant step in the development of the Academic Wing, part of our ambitious plans to become the first choice for talented graduates from Britain and across the world. This vision for the College’s academic future will be further enhanced by the second phase of the redevelopment project, which will begin in October 2014.  The work will include:
