1571 Society Legacy Luncheon 2025
Legacies have played a very important role at Jesus College and have protected College since its first legacy was received over 300 years ago. We are grateful to all of our 1571 Society members who are committed to shaping and protecting Jesus for the future. The 1571 Society now has over 140 confirmed legators with representation from across a wide range of decades.
Each June we host our annual Legacy Luncheon to celebrate our members and thank them for their support. This year this event will take place on Saturday 14 June and we are delighted to invite you and a guest to join us in College.
2025 marks the 400th anniversary of the death of King James I, and the accession of his son King Charles I, whose portrait hangs in Hall. We are delighted to welcome Senior Research Fellow Professor Sue Doran who will speak about her fascinating research into the life of James's consort, Queen Anna of Denmark, which forms part of her latest book, From Tudor to Stuart: The Regime Change from Elizabeth I to James I.
You can find out more about the book and order a copy via the Blackwell's website.
Please RSVP via the link below by Friday 30 May at 12noon.
Dress code is lounge suit (or equivalent).
