Calling Wadham Leavers 2015!

We are calling upon the 2015 leavers to begin a lasting initiative. #IGaveToDorothy is a new campaign, which asks leavers to help us bid for £10,000 from alumni by each donating a small amount of money, whether that be £5 or £50, back to Wadham. This money will be used for specific projects and those who donate will be able to vote on which projects are funded. This will provide a tangible benefit to Wadham in years to come and will be remembered as having been provided by the 2015 Leavers.

Your choices for 2015 are:

1. Access & Outreach Programme
2. Stairlift to hall
3. Book Grants

We have all given a lot to Wadham, through essays, SU positions, sport, Access, excellent bop costumes, and just general blood, sweat and tears, but we're here to ask just one more thing from you. Wadham relies heavily on donations from alumni and benefactors and would not be able to provide the world-class service it does without them. We all have a lot to thank Wadham for, and through giving even modest amounts we can, together, make a difference to the future of the college, and allow students of generations to come enjoy Wadham just as much as we have.

All you need to do is click on Dorothy above, enter the amount you wish to donate and then put 'Access', 'Stairlift' or 'Book Grants' into the 'Comments' section on the donation page to ensure that your donation is directed towards your preference. The matched amount will be distributed relative to the number of people who have donated to each project. 

Also, all who donate will receive an exclusive #IGaveToDorothy mug, which we would like everyone to bring along to fill with bubbly before the Finalists' Fling, and celebrate the final total!

Depending on the percentage of leavers that get involved, and regardless of the amount each student gives, what we raise will be matched by two alumni of Wadham. So far, if 50% of leavers have made a gift and so the alumni donors have matched this with £2,000. If 75% of leavers make a gift, a further £4,000 will be matched! For every percent above that (every two donors), another £178 will be matched. This means if all leavers make even a gift of just £5 to the college, nearly £11,000 will be raised, including the matched donation - imagine what a difference we could make!
