Music Recital with Manos Charalabopoulos

Join us for an evening of music with Manos Charalabopoulos (2009, Music), an award-winning Greek-British composer and pianist whose work has been performed across the UK, Greece, France, Germany and Brazil. The recital will be kindly hosted by Michael Kennard (1969, Classics) at the Concert Artistes’ Association, a distinguished private members’ club for entertainment professionals in the heart of London. Whether you come on your own or with family and friends, this promises to be a relaxed and enjoyable evening of exceptional music in the company of fellow Pembroke alumni and guests.
Manos Charalabopoulos is a Greek-British composer and pianist. His compositions have been performed in the UK, Greece, France, Germany and Brazil, by acclaimed musicians and ensembles including Joanna Gutowska, Accroche Note, Hezarfen Ensemble and Bristol Ensemble. As a pianist, he has performed in venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields, Megaron Moussikis, Bath Pump Rooms, and the British Ambassador’s Residence in Paris, and has won several prizes in piano and composition competitions, such as the RPS Composition Prize, Ivan Juritz Prize, EPTA UK Piano Competition and Evangelia Tjiarri International Piano Competition. In 2020, he released Espelho Duplo—Double Mirror, featuring solo piano music by Brazilian composer André Luiz Machado. Currently working on his second solo album, featuring his own piano music.
