Alumni Football Day

Whether you tasted Cuppers glory or settled for midtable bliss, representing Mansfield on the pitch is always something to be proud of. And now, as winter's long, dark nights give way to the serene summer days of 2025, there's only one thing on our minds: football! 

With that in mind, Mansfield is thrilled to invite you back for a day of footballing fun on Saturday 8 March, 11am-late.

The event will see both our men’s and women’s alumni teams face off against the current Mansfield squads, reliving the glory days and celebrating the beautiful game. 

This year is extra special as it marks our very first joint alumni day for the men’s and women’s teams. As it is our very first women’s alumni game, all women are welcome; even if you didn’t play during your time at college, we would love to have you play! To top it all off, the College has welcomed us back for a formal dinner in its stunning chapel — a perfect way to unwind after a day spent either tearing up the pitch or catching up over a pint.

Dress code: Sports kit (matches) / black tie (no gowns needed, evening) 

Tickets: £30 per person 

Itinerary 

11am: Arrive at Merton pitches 

12pm: Men’s game on Merton pitches 

2pm: Women’s game on Merton pitches 

4pm: Afternoon drinks 

6pm: Drinks reception in Mansfield Old Hall 

7pm: Three-course formal dinner in Mansfield Chapel Hall 

10pm: Event ends
