Priorities for Support

The following priorities for support aim to address the current financial challenges facing the College. All gifts made to College priorities also count towards the University's Oxford Thinking campaign.

The Studentship Fund for a Graduate Student from Hong Kong or Mainland China

We are excited to be launching a new appeal with matched funding from the China Scholarship Council (CSC). We have already secured funding for two graduate students from China. One studentship is partly funded by Jesus College alumni and the Nuffield Department of Medicine, and the other, the CSC-Oxford Prospects Jinan Innovation-Jesus College Graduate Studentship, is supported by the Jinan International Business Incubator. The studentships provide support for a student normally resident in Hong Kong or mainchland China to study for a DPhil at Jesus College.

The Chemistry Fellowship Appeal

An appeal to endow, permanently, a Tutorial Fellowship in Chemistry. This endowment will help secure the future of tutorial teaching of all three branches of Chemistry in the College.

The Ship Street Centre

A once in a lifetime opportunity. This £7.3m project provides student accommodation and valuable teaching space on the College’s historic central site.

The Development Fund

The Development Fund has been set up to pool many regular donations in order to provide a flexible source of annual income that can be distributed to projects that need it most.

The Junior Members' Scholarship

Established by the Junior Members of the College, the Fund enables current students and recent graduates to contribute to the sponsorship of a full undergraduate place for a person from an area where access to higher education is restricted. The first scholarship is being awarded to someone from Gaza.
