‘As a newcomer to Oxford, I feel enormously fortunate to be part of Balliol. The support and hospitality of the College members have made the usually stressful first month after moving to a new place much more pleasant than it might have been. At College meetings, tutorial sessions, and concert nights, I particularly enjoy the effortlessness of getting to know new, extraordinary people with different backgrounds at such occasions. The Balliol experience so far has been delightful, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be here.’
Ling Lin (Walker Early Career Fellow in Mathematical Physics)
