Two students reading on law in Garden Quad, view of Chapel and Old Library behind

‘As the students drift from the Library, the summer drifts in. Although we’re open throughout there are fewer bodies around now, made more noticeable by the hubbub of Trinity Term immediately beforehand, during which we try to mitigate the pressures of study by providing jigsaws, origami materials and pop-up events in the Garden Quad. The vacation is not a time of rest, however: there will be classes, visits, research enquiries, exhibitions to prepare (including ‘A Load of Old Babel’ in September, to which Old Members are warmly invited), stock-checking and a move to a new library system. Before we miss the students it will be autumn and the Library will full of people again.’
