News and updates from Balliol College

December 2021

‘When students came back in October, we had no idea what lay ahead of us and whether we would be able to have anything like a “normal” term. But we did, and it felt all the more enjoyable and valuable as a result. It has been wonderful to hear from students how much they have enjoyed the return to face-to-face teaching, to life in the labs and libraries, and all the social and academic activities here and across the University. But that is only possible thanks to the hard work and commitment of all our College staff – academic and non-academic – to whom we are enormously grateful. I hope they will get a well-earned rest over the vacation.’
Dame Helen Ghosh, Master
