News and updates from Balliol College

November 2019

'After the St Catherine’s Day dinner, I stopped outside the Buttery and looked out at Back Quad. It was dark but Balliol’s beauty was palpable. I’m almost at the end of my term as JCR President and my time at Balliol, but I’m still surprised by the beauty of the place and by the warmth of its people. I find it strange to think that I’ll be leaving it soon, but I will carry fond memories of it with me, as I am sure that so many others do.'
Michael O’Connor (2017, PPE), outgoing JCR President
