News and updates from Balliol College

August 2019

'Since finishing my finals, I’ve had a chance to reflect on what it has meant to be a Balliolite for the past three years. For me, it has meant long nights in the Library; countless evenings spent in the Lindsay Bar; having my eyes opened through activism and access work; and connecting with friends who have changed me and the way I view the world. I graduated earlier this month, in a humbling mix of the sombre (the ceremony) and the celebratory (a lunch in Hall afterwards!). I’m moving to the MCR now, and I couldn’t be more excited. I never really considered switching colleges. Balliol has always been a community driven by its students, and I can’t wait to see what it will achieve next!'
