News and updates from Balliol College

May 2018

'I’m reaching the end of the busiest and most enjoyable term I’ve had at Oxford so far. Second week brought the joys of acting in Tom Stoppard’s Travesties at the Oxford Playhouse, and the Balliol Garden Party, of which I was President - both really rewarding culminations of months of work. I then directed Kirkwood’s NSFW at the Michael Pilch Studio, which was another step on my way to thinking of drama as a professional avenue post-Oxford. All this was the backdrop to studying one of the most interesting modules in my degree, Imperial and Global History in the 19th century, which conveniently ties into the subject matter of Travesties, making my busy term more coherent than I had expected!'
