News and updates from Balliol College

November 2017

'This is my fourth year at Oxford, but my first as a member of Balliol. Being away from my home in the States on Thanksgiving has never been easy, but this year I attended the MCR’s Thanksgiving dinner. Students of all nationalities planned, cooked and ate a holiday meal together – complete with a turkey! I always knew Balliol’s postgraduate community was special, but I only fully understood after watching fellow students spend hours cooking American dishes they’d never eaten, let alone prepared.'
Stephanie Kelley (2017), MSt English (1830-1914)
