'I have had a wonderful eight years here, with the enormous privilege of working alongside and getting to know the most energising, committed, and inspiring staff, students, academics, and alumni I could ever have wished to meet. I am so grateful to everyone in the Balliol community who has welcomed, supported, entertained or given me wise advice during my time. I shall look back on this part of my life with enormous affection and happiness – but I am not going far away and look forward very much to remaining part of the College, though in different ways in the future. Floreat Domus!'
